Moondance Botanicals Candle Co started as a hobby fall 2020. I was undergoing IVF and needed a creative escape and started making candles, initially filling antique containers and making Christmas gifts for girlfriends. My girlfriends loved their candles and wanted to start purchasing them from me…one thing led to another and Moondance Botanicals Candle Co was born!

The name was chosen as my daughter (also an IVF baby) loves the moon and is actually a “moon baby” as I utilized acupuncture as part of the infertility process at ‘Pulling Down the Moon’ where they call all of their babies born with acupuncture assistance “moon babies”.

I am a pediatric nurse practitioner by trade and have specialized in asthma and allergy. That background combined with my infertility journey made me want to create clean, non-toxic candles. Therefore, I chose quality ingredients and fragrance oils that have been 3rd party verified to be non-toxic and phthalate-free.

My favorite part of creating candles: Mixing fragrances and developing new scents! That’s why I love custom candles as it gives me a chance to create a special, custom fragrance for each client.
